Training Game #3 Goes Final

Team USA beat the Cary Bulls 12-0 tonight in their final game action before heading to Venezuela.  Four pitchers combined on the shutout, while the eagles were paced offensively by birthday boy Randal Grichuk and Max Stassi who both contributed 2 hits and 2 runs apiece.  The team will workout one more time in the morning before packing up in the afternoon.  They’ll then head over to UNC for a tour of campus before going to the Durham Bulls game for some relaxation before the long travel day on Wednesday.

TEAM USA Parents – As you know there are rumors flying around that the tournament is cancelled due to Taiwan not being able to obtain Visa’s to gain entry to Venezuela. I spoke with Jeff Singer this morning and the tournament will still operate, it will not be a sanctioned IBAF tournament but they will be playing. The game schedule and duration is still to be determined so standby for any further updates. If you are on my distribution list you have already received this information. If you need to be added please email me immediately and I will let you know the next time I have contact with the officials. The players have had breakfast and are on the field practicing at this moment so all is well! Thx – Cathy

Well i think that is just poor planning on Taiwan and that the tournament should still take place, our boys have trained to hard; for this tournament not to mean anything!

Nolan if you see this, keep up the hard work!!!

-Your older brother Dan

Way to go Nick and all of your team mates, we are proud of all of you.
